Dr. Yaniv is a psychodramatist, a psychotherapist, and a research psychologist. He is a faculty member of the Graduate School of Creative Art Therapies at University of Haifa who focuses on neuroscience, psychology and psychodrama. Previously, he was a member of the Center for Creative-Expressive Therapy at Kibbutzim College in Tel Aviv.

Dr. Yaniv has a PhD in Psychology (Summa cum laude), specializing in brain mechanisms of emotional memory, from the University of Haifa. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Columbia University, when he decided to make a change in his career and graduated from the psychodrama department at the Center for Creative-Expressive Therapy at Kibbutzim College in Tel-Aviv.
