liat ayalon 2Liat Ayalon received her Ph.D. in Psychology from Tel-Aviv University. She completed her NIH postdoctoral program in Biological Psychiatry and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where she also served as a faculty member and lecturer. 

Dr. Ayalon’s primary research topics included movement disorders, sleep and breathing disorders and biological rhythms. Using cognitive and neuropsychological assessment tools, as well as fMRI and additional advanced neuroimaging techniques, she studied the relationship between behavior and brain function and assessed brain plasticity in response to neural stress. 

Dr. Ayalon is trained in a variety of somatic/movement techniques including Body-Centered Psychotherapy and Rio Abierto. In her teaching, she integrates her knowledge about brain with dance and body-oriented approaches.
