Resume

This manual includes rating systems for scoring the content, and narrative aspects of ‘Person Picking an Apple from a Tree’ drawings (PPAT: Gantt, 1990). In specific, the manual contains the SC-PPAT (Bat Or, Ishai, & Levi, 2016), and the NA-PPAT (Bat Or & Ishai, 2017) for each of three age groups (preschool children, elementary school age children, and adults).
The rating systems are empiric tools with high inter-rater reliabilities, and validities with criterion variables (cognitive, and emotional aspects). They are simple to learn, and apply in empirical research and clinical work. They allow researchers, clinicians, and students to explore the subjective experience of individuals
through pictorial data analysis. They may be useful in psychological and art therapy research.

Bat Or Michal, Ph.D is an art therapist, a lecturer in the School of Art Therapies, and a researcher
in Emili Sagol Creative Arts Therapies Research Center, University of Haifa.
Ishai Rafi, M.A., is a clinical psychologist, and a lecturer in the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
training – Psychology Department at the University of Haifa.
Levi Narkis, M.A. is an art therapist at The Interdisciplinary Clinical Center University of Haifa.
